Rare footage: Caucasian Shepherd defending the flock of sheep.

Wow- brutal. Seriously. Amazing that this footage was caught. That Caucasian is one tough customer. Probably about collapsed from exhaustion after that...

i do not buy for .00000023 of a second that that footage was "caught". That was a set up. No WAY a wolf would attack sheep with a camera person right there. Had to be a person behind the camera because the camera moves.

Could be... But, it could also be that they baited the wolves in, and allowed them to do that, and then the dog had at them. It bothered me, as I *really* don't like seeing aggression like that... But, it did underscore that there is a need for livestock guardian dogs...

One thing to remember, is that when a predator is locked onto it's prey, it won't drop it, until it's dead, and that was the flaw in the wolf's behaviour- and what allowed the dog to get the upper hand. Another thing is that this was in I think, Czech, or, one of the Baltic states. Wolves are smaller there.
